About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk & Compliance Manager to join our team at Aldi. As a key member of our organization, you will play a fundamental role in supporting our UK and Irish businesses in meeting our obligations with regards to Compliance Management, Enterprise Risk Management, and Crisis Management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the National Risk & Compliance team and be responsible for the ongoing development of direct reports.
  • Support the development, implementation, operation, and monitoring of International Compliance systems, with a special focus on ensuring National business needs are met.
  • Support the fulfillment of National Top Management's duties in National Compliance matters in line with International Compliance governance.
  • Support with the following National topics, including acting as a point of contact for the relevant regulators:
    • UK - Groceries Supply Code of Practice (GSCOP)
    • Ireland – Agricultural & Food Supply Chain Unfair Trading Regulations (UTP)
  • Act as a Risk & Compliance expert providing advice and support for various stakeholders across the business as necessary.
  • Coordinate the development and delivery of Compliance related training and guidance material.
  • Ensure the necessary safeguards are in place, including the monitoring and updating of risk and compliance policies.
  • Promote and embed effective and efficient risk and compliance management processes as part of the way ALDI does business.
  • Oversee the management of the ALDI AlertLine whistleblowing platform.
  • Engage with a network of departmental Enterprise Risk Management business leads to support in business-wide risk assessments.
  • Support on the international development of Enterprise Risk Management, including the development and piloting of a new tool.
  • Support the development, operation, updating, and monitoring of the National Crisis Response Framework.
About You

We are looking for a strong manager with exceptional organizational skills, who can balance multiple priorities to shape the future ways of working in the compliance sphere, meanwhile mitigating risk exposure for the National business in a fast-paced environment.

  • Leading and developing a team of subject matter experts.
  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Demonstrable experience of advising on projects, developing policies, and training, driving compliance and efficiencies through implementing solutions successfully.
  • Passion for driving the business forward in the areas of Risk and Compliance.
  • Able to work individually and as part of a team, exercise leadership, and influence change.
  • Adept at building and maintaining collaborative working relationships.
  • Able to manage a demanding workload to be able to deliver on time and to the highest quality.
  • Works in a structured and methodical manner to meet deadlines and exercise sound judgment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and presentation skills.

  • Starting salary from £61,065 rising to £94,240.
  • Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, with the opportunity of 2 days a week remote working.
