Job Title: Team Leader

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader to join our Community Assessment Unit at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of support workers and ensuring the smooth operation of the unit.

Main Duties:

  • Assist and work under the direction of Registered Nurses, Chartered Physiotherapists, and State Registered Occupational Therapists
  • Assist in the administration and clerical duties of the unit
  • Administer and monitor the stock of aids for independence and other departmental equipment
  • Work flexibly when required, which will involve covering a 7-day 24-hour service

Requirements:

  • Health and Social Care Level 2 or equivalent competencies gained through job experience
  • Experience in a relevant healthcare field (NHS or UK)

  • Able to teach practical skills
  • Able to work single-handed with groups or individuals
  • Observational skills
  • Good level of personal organisation

Working Hours:

37.5 hours per week over 7 days. Shift patterns to be agreed on appointment.

Person Specification:

The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning and be willing to undertake training on basic IT, group skills, and clinical competencies within 3 months of appointment.
