Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our team at The City of Edinburgh Council. As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to young children, supporting their social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging and inclusive early years programs that cater to the diverse needs of children.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to ensure seamless delivery of services and achieve shared goals.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify children's strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Design and implement individualized plans to support children's learning and development.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of children's progress and development.
Requirements
  • Registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
