Position Overview:

As a pivotal figure in our manufacturing operations, the Manufacturing Team Leader will guide and nurture a team dedicated to excellence in performance sports car production. Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive continuous improvement across all operational facets, focusing on quality, efficiency, and team development.
  • Coordinate and oversee manufacturing processes within designated areas, ensuring adherence to high standards.
  • Monitor and uphold quality levels, safeguarding both internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure optimal functionality of the department through effective management of resources, including personnel and materials.
  • Inspire and lead the team through effective coaching and mentorship, fostering a culture of empowerment.
  • Achieve performance targets related to workplace organization, waste management, and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Manage departmental budgets, focusing on cost-effective resource utilization.
  • Facilitate the identification and elimination of non-value-added activities in line with company improvement initiatives.
  • Support team performance measurement and problem-solving efforts to enhance customer protection.
  • Plan workforce requirements and oversee recruitment processes to meet operational needs.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication across all levels of the organization.
  • Lead problem resolution initiatives and support team training to mitigate labor shortages.
  • Ensure accurate data collection and visual management audits within the area of responsibility.
  • Develop and implement strategies for robust problem containment and resolution.
  • Address and resolve local industrial relations matters as they arise.
  • Monitor and manage budgetary expenditures related to overtime and consumables.
  • Challenge existing processes and encourage innovative thinking within the team.
  • Uphold confidentiality regarding sensitive company information.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience in team leadership and development within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills to enhance team morale and performance.
  • Ability to assess team strengths and identify training needs effectively.
  • Business acumen to support efficient reporting systems and procedures.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and practices.
  • Diagnostic skills to identify and rectify operational faults.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development in areas such as Kaizen and Quality Management.
  • Proficient in computer applications relevant to the role.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Self-motivated with a strong determination to succeed.
