Job Purpose
As a Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting cost management within our business. Under supervision, you will perform analysis of financial and performance information and prepare reports in an accurate and timely manner for management.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare plant monthly financial results in accordance with company rules and regulations.
- Perform month-end closing for related operations and cost transactions.
- Analyse costs, prepare weekly and monthly variance reports on forecast differences and the causes for scrap, material cost, usage, and production efficiencies.
- Identify cost-saving initiatives and provide analysis and advice to the management team on plant financial performance.
- Prepare plant monthly forecasts and annual budgets in line with company strategy.
- Cooperate with the UK Financial Controller and team to ensure plant performance is properly reflected in actual results, forecasts, and budgets.
- Maintain systems and controls over inventory and plant fixed assets.
- Maintain accurate and reliable product costing processes.
- Review production scrap processes and identify scrap reduction initiatives.
- Strive for continuous improvement within the finance function.
Requirements
- Qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA or working towards.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy and Finance-related fields.
Skills and Experience
- Advanced Microsoft Application experience (Excel mainly, Word, PowerPoint).
- Good communication skills.
