Financial Analyst Role

We are seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at Head4Talent. As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for performing general accounting and reporting activities, including creating monthly reports, processing standard and non-standard journal entries, reconciling key general ledger accounts, and identifying areas for process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage month-end processes, including accruals, provisions, and prepayments.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Analyse and present financial and operational data.
  • Review and present monthly financial results to divisional management.
  • Assist in the divisional forecasting and budgeting process.
  • Produce financial and operational reports for managers within the division and the business.
  • Assist in the preparation of external audits.
  • Handle ad hoc reporting as required.

Requirements

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, power pivot, LOOKUPs, and complex formulas.
  • Ability to present data in a clear and understandable format.
  • Capability to understand, question, and challenge a range of financial and operational data.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to contribute to a positive team atmosphere.
  • Knowledge or experience of working with Access Dimensions or similar packages.
  • Ideally CIMA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience (QBE), with knowledge or experience in the recruitment industry.
