About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our in-house maintenance team at the John Lewis Partnership. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering a safe and efficient maintenance service to our sites, ensuring that our facilities and equipment are in good working order.

As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Professional, you will be expected to work independently and as part of a team, using your technical expertise to diagnose and resolve a wide range of maintenance issues. You will also be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, ensuring that our equipment and facilities are properly maintained and that any potential issues are identified and addressed before they become major problems.

As a Technician - Electrical and Building Services, you will be working closely with our contractors and campus management teams to ensure that our maintenance activities are coordinated and that our sites are safe and secure. You will also be responsible for managing both preventative planned maintenance work and dealing professionally with reactive calls/jobs.

We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, self-disciplined, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be a confident communicator, able to liaise with contractors, campus management teams, and fellow technicians across the Waitrose site. You will also be able to demonstrate a high level of technical expertise and a strong understanding of electrical and building services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a safe and efficient maintenance service to our sites
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance to ensure that our equipment and facilities are properly maintained
  • Diagnose and resolve a wide range of maintenance issues
  • Work closely with contractors and campus management teams to ensure that our maintenance activities are coordinated
  • Manage both preventative planned maintenance work and deal professionally with reactive calls/jobs

Requirements

  • Recognised Electrical qualification, City & Guilds, JIB, or NVQ equivalent including 18th Edition IET wiring regulations
  • Experience in Building Environmental & Electrical Services, Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning within the service industry
