Position Summary:

We are currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our team for a significant project within the UK. This role involves supporting the management of a vital infrastructure asset that accommodates over 200,000 vehicles daily, ensuring its optimal performance and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster collaborative relationships with the Portfolio Manager and key stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive understanding of project delivery objectives, performance reporting, and issue resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations by clarifying roles within the team, addressing risks and issues promptly, and maintaining accurate documentation, including change management records.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of project plans, ensuring that all activities are organized effectively to meet project goals and are adequately resourced.
  • Support projects throughout their entire lifecycle, from feasibility studies to design and construction, contributing to investment proposals for clients.
  • Help develop detailed cost profiles, identifying key risks and quantifying resource needs.
  • Identify and assess emerging risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints related to the project, escalating concerns as necessary and implementing agreed-upon solutions.
  • Assist in managing the performance of contractors and designers, ensuring that project objectives are understood and health and safety standards are upheld.
  • Contribute to the organization’s sustainability initiatives, including net-zero goals and biodiversity enhancements.
  • Collaborate closely with the construction team to ensure that permits, certifications, and site reporting align with project requirements.

Candidate Profile:

• Strong communication and organizational skills to clarify project strategies and solutions.

• Experience in managing and maintaining project plans in collaboration with contractors, designers, and internal teams.

Working Conditions:

  • Willingness to travel to various locations as required.
  • Occasional site visits may be necessary.
  • Possession of a valid driving license is required.
