We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at AndRecruit Group Ltd. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical products, working closely with our manufacturing team to ensure efficient and cost-effective production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical products using CAD software, including concept design and technical drawing creation
  • Liaise with manufacturing providers to ensure smooth production processes
  • Be involved in New Product Introduction (NPI) and product development projects
  • Create documentation for design, project reports, and plans
  • Update 3D models and drawings as needed
  • Input parts into the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system and create Bill of Materials (BOMs)
  • Check drawings for sign-off and ensure compliance with company standards
  • Liaise with pre-production and operations functions to optimize manufacturing processes
  • Work collaboratively with a small multi-disciplinary team on various projects

Requirements:

  • HNC/HND/ Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar work-based experience
  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar Design Engineering role
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with exposure to electrical products
  • Proficient in 3D CAD software, with Creo being an advantage
  • Good theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances
  • Some electrical skills would be beneficial
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work well alone and as part of a team
  • Proficient in MS Office
