Sutton Recruitment is working exclusively to recruit a Design Engineer to join a leading company who specializes in the production of innovative precast reinforced, pre-stressed and post-tensioned concrete products.

The company, as the largest independent producer of pre-stressed bridge beams in Britain, offers a comprehensive range of beam profiles as well as bespoke reinforced and post-tensioned products developed and tailored to the needs of individual projects.

As the Design Engineer, you will take ownership of the design and detailing of precast concrete structures/elements from commencement to completion.

  1. Design and draft works such as assembly, geometry drawings or sketches of precast concrete elements
  2. 3D modeling in common software such as Grasshoppers, Tekla, Revit
  3. Design of temporary works such as lifting and transport of precast elements
  4. Design analyses and section design of reinforced and pre-stressed elements
  5. Reinforced concrete detailing and related activities
  6. Development and updating of company catalogues, libraries, etc.
  7. Recording completed projects to various charts and lists
  8. Creation, development, and updating of various method statements related to projects
  9. Liaison with clients about ongoing projects
  10. Periodic reporting to company management
Requirements for the candidate:
  1. Degree qualified (Master's degree would be an advantage)
  2. Experience in 3D software
  3. Construction-Civil engineering background
  4. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  5. Advanced skills in Microsoft Outlook
  6. Basic skills in Microsoft PowerPoint
  7. Basic skills in Microsoft Project
  8. Advanced skills in Microsoft Word
  9. Advanced skills in AutoCAD
What's on offer:
  1. Monday to Friday, 08:00am – 17:00pm (30 minute lunch unpaid)
  2. 24 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays (Birthday off)
  3. Nest Pension; 3% client, 5% employee

To be suitable for this role, you must have a full driving license and your own vehicle.
