Job Title: Specialist Pharmacist Women and Children

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Pharmacist to join our team at Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert clinical pharmacy services to women and children, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert clinical pharmacy services to women and children, including medication management and therapy optimization.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans that improve patient outcomes.
  • Conduct medication reviews and provide recommendations for optimization.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare providers to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.

Requirements:

  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Experience in clinical pharmacy practice, particularly in women and children's services.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop evidence-based recommendations.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Postgraduate qualification in pharmacy or a related field.
  • Experience in leadership or management roles.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in electronic health records and medication management systems.

Working Arrangements:

The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the service. A clean driving license and ability to drive are essential.

Language Requirements:

The ability to speak English fluently is essential for this role.
