Aftertreatment Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our Aftertreatment Engineering Team at Caterpillar. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing solutions to address challenging requirements, either within new product introduction or updates to existing platforms for various off-highway applications.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop emissions modules and fabrications for diesel engines
- Lead and plan complex projects with minimal supervision
- Collaborate with global manufacturing sites, suppliers, and customers to ensure design solutions meet customer, durability, and functional requirements
- Develop strong relationships with suppliers to ensure design solutions are aligned to high-quality and cost expectations
- Conduct or generate reports to support component and system design reviews
- Maintain communication with peers, team leader, and stakeholders on progress against planned activities
- Strong technical background in mechanical or automotive engineering
- Knowledge of mechanical and preferably experience in aftertreatment systems
- Good understanding of component manufacturing principles and processes
- Modelling and detailing experience in CREO4-7
- Self-motivated, teamwork, organized, good communication skills, and ability to manage and deliver tasks to meet commitments
