Cardiology Clinic Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Cardiology Clinic Coordinator to join our team at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. As a key member of our administrative team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our cardiology clinics.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the effective day-to-day administration and coordination of clerical procedures concerning out-patient clinics in the Division.
- Manage the flow of patients through the cardiology department, working closely with a multi-disciplinary team.
- Prepare patient records, correspondence, and other documents as required.
- Liaise with wards, medical secretaries, and other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Provide a reception service to patients, utilizing the HISS system to document their arrival and outcome.
- Ensure accurate patient demographic information is sought and recorded.
- Complete HRG sheets with correct procedure codes and deal with diagnostic test request forms efficiently.
- GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent.
- Previous experience in an administrative role where patient/customer care was a job requirement.
- Keyboard skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Able to solve problems, take preventative actions, and refer to others when necessary.
- Sound organizational skills, able to work under pressure, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
- Able to use own initiative, attention to detail, and consistently produce accurate work.
