Job Summary

We are seeking an Optical Assistant to join our team, responsible for independently running pre- and post-operative diagnostic clinics. The successful candidate will support patients throughout their journey with CHEC, reporting any concerns and preparing all areas and documents prior to clinics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pre-examination diagnostics, including Intraocular pressures, OCT scans, and visual acuities
  • Instilling Eyedrops
  • Blood Pressure monitoring
  • Temperature testing
  • Blood glucose Monitoring
  • Supporting hospital diagnostic clinics as required

  • Self-motivated and self-starter with the ability to prioritize and schedule work independently
  • Approachable and friendly manner to welcome patients into the clinic
