As a Senior Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality of services provided to adults with care and support needs. You will be responsible for carrying out organisational safeguarding enquiries, maintaining records, and making recommendations. You will also liaise with social work and occupational therapy staff to ensure effective safeguarding practices.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out organisational safeguarding enquiries and making recommendations
  • Maintaining records and participating in relevant meetings
  • Liaising with social work and occupational therapy staff to ensure effective safeguarding practices
  • Deputising for the Team Manager and chairing safeguarding strategy and review meetings
  • Maintaining and promoting effective partnerships with relevant agencies

Requirements:

  • Relevant professional qualification and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Relevant post-qualifying experience in a social care setting and experience of dealing with complex cases
  • Ability to assess and manage risk, and provide supervision of casework
  • Experience of allocation and prioritisation of work to optimise service efficiency

Please note that an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required for this post. You will also be expected to travel throughout the authority and surrounding area, and must have a full valid driving licence with regular access to a vehicle.
