Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Practitioner to join our team, responsible for carrying out organisational safeguarding enquiries and maintaining records related to safeguarding issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough organisational safeguarding enquiries under the supervision of a Team Manager, ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable adults.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of safeguarding issues, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Liaise with other staff members to facilitate safeguarding enquiries and social care assessments, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
  • Deputise for the Team Manager as needed, attending meetings with other agencies to represent the Council.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with relevant agencies, such as the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and Care Quality Commission (CQC), to ensure effective safeguarding practices.
  • Stay current with professional skills and knowledge, participating in continuous professional development to enhance safeguarding expertise.

Requirements:

  • Relevant professional qualification and Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration.
  • Post-qualifying experience in a social care setting, with a strong understanding of safeguarding principles and practices.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and knowledge of current legislation related to safeguarding.
  • Ability to allocate and prioritise work efficiently, managing multiple tasks and deadlines.

Note: An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required for this role, and travel throughout the authority and surrounding area is expected.
