Job SummaryWe're looking for a seasoned professional to join our Client Onboarding function as a Senior Associate. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for onboarding clients while adhering to regulatory requirements and ensuring a smooth and exceptional client experience.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) reviews and risk assessments on both new and existing customers.
- Manage the AML CDD portion of commercial business loan origination and business banking account setup.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure we deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Manage customer expectations through effective communication skills while ensuring we work at speed and maintain momentum.
- Operate in line with our Risk Management framework and relevant risk and compliance policies and procedures, ensuring timely escalation of any concerns to your line manager.
- Mentor and supervise junior members of the Client Onboarding Team.
- Identify areas for improving processes to deliver improved efficiency.
- Carry out Business as Usual (BAU) and ad hoc administrative tasks.
- Minimum 5 years' experience working in the financial services sector, ideally in commercial lending or banking.
- Working knowledge of unpacking complex corporate structures with connections to non-transparent jurisdictions, including trusts and funds in overseas jurisdictions.
- Ability to carry out tasks independently.
- Excellent understanding and experience of AML/KYC, CDD/EDD.
- Quick learner with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Prioritization and workflow management skills.
- Resilience and ability to work under pressure and to pressing deadlines.
- Desire to go the extra mile to delight our customers.
- Advanced Excel knowledge.
- ICA and ACAMs qualifications.
- Working knowledge of Automatic Exchange of Information (AEOI) and Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) requirements.
- Experience working with private equity and real estate investment vehicles.
