POSITION OVERVIEW
If you are a seasoned Structural Engineer with a solid foundation in the civil construction sector, this role presents a remarkable opportunity to contribute to a progressive organization where your expertise will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the company.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The selected candidate will:
- Provide essential engineering support and insights for projects in both bidding and execution phases.
- Contribute to the engineering and design aspects of contract tenders and modifications for both new and ongoing projects, collaborating closely with Contract Managers, Quantity Surveyors, and supplier/sub-contractor partners.
- Develop and refine commercial estimates and cost plans.
- Engage in setting out and surveying activities.
- Coordinate with specialized designers and consultants.
- Assist in the formulation of project estimates.
- Communicate effectively with specialized subcontractors, suppliers, and designers.
- Participate in contract and internal governance reviews.
- Support the development of service delivery programs.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable role within the civil construction industry.
- A demonstrated commitment to health and safety standards in construction.
- While a degree in civil engineering is beneficial, it is not a strict requirement; a minimum of a HNC/D or equivalent NVQ in civil engineering is essential.
