About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriting Manager to join our team at Arch Capital Group. As a key member of our Onshore Energy line of business, you will be responsible for building and managing a profitable Renewable Energy portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwriting and Portfolio Management: Develop and service an underwriting portfolio that contributes to the Line of Business plan and goals of the Company, providing regular reports on business operations and results to the management team.
- Risk Assessment and Pricing: Ensure underwriting and servicing of risks is both timely and accurate, adhering to all Arch underwriting / compliance guidelines, service standards and regulatory requirements.
- Leadership and Team Management: Provide regular direction and leadership to underwriting team to achieve specific underwriting line of business and broader corporate strategic objectives.
- Business Development and Marketing: Identify producer relationships within assigned market to optimize best solutions for distribution, identify and suggest new and modified products, identify producers for business/marketing programs, and analyze producers and market opportunities.
- Customer Service and Liaison: Maintain ongoing liaison with producers to obtain supplemental underwriting information, evaluate risks, decline risks, analyze and interpret coverage, explain underwriting requirements and expectations, and present terms.
- Reinsurance and Ceded Actions: Set ceded reinsurance actions in accordance with Arch Insurance and business unit guidelines.
