Major Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Driver Assistant. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of goods to our customers.
Main Responsibilities:
- Delivery and Installation: Safely deliver, install, and demonstrate white goods, televisions, and cookers to customers' properties.
- Customer Service: Engage with customers, keep them informed, and ensure delivery and installation are carried out to the highest standard following best practice guidance.
- Communication and Problem-Solving: Maintain regular contact with the site throughout the day to meet any changes to customer delivery requests, discuss and escalate unplanned issues, and seek guidance as necessary.
- Operational Efficiency: Ensure the handheld operating device (Savvy) is used correctly, complete visits, and obtain customer signatures.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Liaise with manufacturers at the point of delivery when necessary and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery and installation.
- Health and Safety: Handle all products safely and with care, supporting colleagues to do the same, and ensure compliance with company and health and safety policies.
- Continuous Improvement: Maintain a valid driving license, complete required training and knowledge updates, and participate in continuous professional development.
- Load Management: Manage changing volumes of load held in the vehicle during the day, regularly review, adjust, and secure the load to ensure safety.
Requirements:
- Customer Service Skills: A passion for delivering excellent customer service and strong verbal communication skills, both on the phone and face-to-face.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to work flexibly, alone or collaboratively with colleagues, to ensure business and customer needs are satisfied.
- Problem-Solving and Initiative: Utilize equipment correctly, handle products safely, and take responsibility for own learning and development.
