Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Goods Receiving Inspector to join our team in Poole. As a Goods Receiving Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting inspections on parts, products, and services delivered from our supply base to ensure they meet our quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect and test parts, products, and services to ensure they conform to drawings and specifications.
- Examine products and materials for defects or deviations from drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Accept or reject parts, products, or services that do not meet our quality standards.
- Communicate with suppliers and relevant stakeholders regarding rejected parts.
- Provide detailed objective evidence of non-conformities to facilitate root cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Maintain the SAP system and Quality Improvement system to record inspection results and supplier non-conformities.
- Control defect items via segregation and quarantine to prevent them from entering the production cycle.
- Relevant experience in a part inspection environment.
- Keen eye for detail and knowledge of quality and business systems.
- Experience of working in Quality Control and dealing with suppliers.
- Knowledge of measurement techniques, inspection methods, and equipment.
- Understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications.
- Methodical and attention to detail, with the ability to work on own initiative.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, and analytical and problem-solving skills.
