Senior Automation/Robotics Engineer

Peacock Technology is seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation/Robotics Engineer to join our research and development team. Our company is at the forefront of connecting robotics and artificial intelligence to deliver innovative solutions for food producers, improving long-term food sustainability and animal welfare.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in all stages of the development process, from requirements capture to onsite commissioning and testing.
  • Take ownership of robotic and automation projects, leading design and testing of control systems, PLC, Scada, and robotics.
  • Produce specifications, plans, and cost analysis, as well as documentation for proposals and customer document packs.
  • Develop the skills of other team members and liaise with customers and suppliers throughout the project cycle.
Requirements
  • A higher education qualification in a relevant field and more than 3 years' experience in a related role in industry.
  • Willingness to visit farms to develop dairy robot solutions.
  • Expertise in programming PLCs to an advanced level, producing high-quality, well-formatted programs.
  • A high level of technical knowledge and the ability to apply it to practical problems.
  • Experience with Kuka robotic systems, Beckhoff and/or Omron PLCs, and understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
