About the Role

We are seeking an experienced FPGA Engineering Manager to join our Cyber UK Business Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining, architecting, designing, developing, documenting, and testing complex FPGA firmware functions and algorithms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform requirements analysis and derivation to generate understandable and robust firmware requirements from inbound requirements.
  • Produce high-quality and robust firmware designs and architectures to meet firmware requirements and interface specifications.
  • Develop and implement documentation, including specifications, reports, and proposals, of a quality commensurate with its end use.
  • Provide specialist knowledge and support to the wider engineering team.
  • Propose and champion ideas for improvement that support innovation and make the engineering organization more efficient.
  • Manage security of information as defined in the Security manual.
  • Provide feedback on firmware development status and cost to complete to the Project Manager and/or Engineering Project Lead.
Requirements
  • Degree in an engineering, mathematical, or science-based subject or equivalent experience.
  • Fully proficient in the full life cycle of firmware development, demonstrated on more than one project.
  • Proven experience with engineering design methodologies, such as the 'V' Model.
  • Exposure to coding standards for defense, space, or air worthiness techniques and standards, such as MISRA.
  • Experience in digital electronics and digital logic design.
