Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated part-time Ward Administrative Assistant to become a vital member of our dynamic and welcoming team.

This role is situated within a 33-bed unit, delivering exceptional rehabilitation and end-of-life support to individuals in our care. Our multidisciplinary team comprises various healthcare professionals, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, advanced nurse practitioners, medical doctors, nursing staff, and activity coordinators. We pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative, supportive environment that prioritizes a serene and therapeutic atmosphere for our patients, their families, and fellow team members.

Key Responsibilities

As a Ward Administrative Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Organizing, scanning, and filing medical documentation accurately.
  • Reporting any issues or malfunctions within the ward.
  • Maintaining an organized, calm demeanor while providing assistance.
  • Exhibiting proficient IT skills to support administrative tasks.
  • Delivering clerical and administrative support to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Serving as the initial point of contact for patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals, both in person and over the phone.

This position requires strong clerical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities. The ideal candidate will be dependable, patient-centered, and possess excellent communication and IT skills.

Working Hours

Shift patterns will typically be from 08:30 to 17:00 (or 08:00 to 16:30) on weekdays, with flexibility required to accommodate the needs of the ward. We are open to discussing hours for the right candidate.

Employment in this role necessitates a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
