Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive professional who is committed to enhancing patient outcomes and embodies our Health Board values to become a part of our team.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the pharmaceutical needs of patients are addressed and that standards for medication management are maintained. The primary responsibilities include:

  • Conducting medication reconciliation
  • Leading pharmacy clinics
  • Advocating for evidence-based medication prescribing
  • Responding to inquiries regarding medication information
  • Providing professional oversight in the dispensary
  • Mentoring and guiding pharmacy personnel
  • Performing clinical audits

Proficiency in the Welsh language is preferred for this position; applications are welcome from both Welsh and English speakers.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications

Required

  • MPharm or MSc in Pharmacy

Registration

Required

  • Registered pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council

Preferred

  • Independent prescriber
  • Post-graduate diploma

Experience

Required

  • Extensive post-registration experience

Preferred

  • Supervisory or management experience
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutics
  • Previous experience in prison, mental health, or substance misuse settings

Communication Skills
