About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Haematology Specialist Nurse to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients with haematological conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Expert Nursing Care
    • Assess and manage the health needs of patients with haematological conditions
    • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions
  • Lead Clinical Practice
    • Develop and implement evidence-based clinical protocols and guidelines
    • Conduct quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
    • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement integrated care pathways
  • Communicate Effectively
    • Establish and maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
    • Provide education and support to patients and families to promote self-management and empowerment
  • Contribute to Team Success
    • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to achieve shared goals and objectives
    • Contribute to the development of nursing practice and policy within the team
Requirements
  • Qualifications
    • NMC Level 1 or Level 15 Registered Nurse
    • Relevant post-registration qualification in haematology or a related field
  • Skills and Experience
    • Proven experience in haematology nursing
    • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of haematological conditions
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
