Just Recruitment is working with a well-regarded manufacturer, based on the outskirts of Sudbury, to add a Stores and Stock Assistant to their engineering team.
The primary objective of this role is to establish and maintain the stores function for the business's maintenance team, ensuring that required items are readily available to support the production facility as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting up and organizing the stores area, including numbering systems and equipment ordering.
- Working to a high standard of accuracy and experience in improving stock management processes and procedures.
- Managing an engineering database in Excel or a dedicated system, with a high level of accuracy and organization in recording and issuing documentation related to PPMs, breakdowns, etc.
- Self-starter, able to work alone or as part of a team, with competence in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
Key attributes include attention to detail, carrying out duties to a high standard with confidence, honesty, and passion.
Key Duties:
- Rolling Stock Take, End of Year Stock Take.
- Purchasing spares based on tracking usage.
- Maintenance and Health and Safety consumables.
- General parts and consumable ordering.
- Administration for issuing and updating planned (e.g. PPMs) and unplanned works orders.
- Lead user for the Engineering data base, creating reports as required.
- Updating spares usage.
- Creating new parts orders.
- Creating new and maintaining current standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Working hours are Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm. Free parking is available on site, as well as a desirable working location.
