Job Summary:
Lloyd & Cowan Veterinary Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Veterinary Nurse to join our team. As a Lead Veterinary Nurse, you will be responsible for leading a dynamic team in supporting a varied caseload, acting as a Clinical Coach for Student Veterinary Nurses, and collaborating with colleagues on patient care and clinical protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Veterinary Nurses in providing high-quality patient care and supporting a varied caseload.
- Act as a Clinical Coach for Student Veterinary Nurses, providing guidance and mentorship to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with colleagues on patient care and clinical protocols, ensuring that all patients receive the best possible care.
- Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
- Contribute to the development of the veterinary nursing team, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to improve patient care and team performance.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of Veterinary experience, preferably in a leadership role.
- RCVS certification or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of veterinary nursing practices.
