About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our Additional Learning Support Team at Oaklands College. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing academic support to students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities within our mainstream provision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consistent academic support to individuals or groups of students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
  • Work effectively with tutors to meet the diverse needs of learners and deliver a high-quality student experience.
  • Communicate effectively with curriculum areas and contribute to the development of individualized learning plans.
  • Assist with the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and other relevant documentation.
Requirements
  • 2 years' general work experience of working with students in school, adult education, or voluntary/charitable organizations.
  • Good standard of education, including 5 GCSEs grade C or above or equivalent qualification.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Accurate record-keeping and ability to maintain confidentiality.
