Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Communication: Respond to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner, ensuring that all client needs are met.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to our financial services team, including preparing and issuing recommendation letters, processing new business and 'top ups', and preparing client valuations and review packs.

  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and data.
  • Communication with Providers: Communicate with providers and fund managers, keeping our financial planners up to date with all communications.
  • Correspondence: Send out letters of authority and correspondence to clients, professional introducers, and other third parties.
  • Meeting Preparation: Prepare new client meeting packs and ensure that all necessary documentation is in place.
  • Financial Planning: Assist with the preparation of financial plans and ensure that all necessary documentation is completed.
  • General Administration: Perform other general administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Certificate in Financial Services: Hold a certificate in financial services or be working towards a qualification.
  • Grade A-C or 9-4: Hold a grade A-C or 9-4 in English and Maths.
  • Previous Experience: Have previous experience in financial services within an IFA setting.
  • Report Writing: Have experience of report writing and strong letter writing skills.
  • FCA Rules: Have a good understanding of FCA rules, ethics, and financial regulations.
  • Financial Products: Have a working knowledge of investments, pensions, and protection plans, as well as other financial products and financial planning tools.
  • IT Skills: Have strong IT skills, including MS Office Word and Excel.
  • Communication Skills: Have excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Numeracy Skills: Have good numeracy skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Be able to demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Adaptable Approach: Be able to demonstrate an adaptable and flexible approach to work within a changing environment.
  • Teamwork: Be able to work within a team environment.
  • Inter-personal Skills: Have inter-personal skills, both written and verbal.
