The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth running of our transport operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of Goldstar's transport activities.
  • Coordinate and schedule all transport activities, including managing the fleet of vehicles and tracking vehicle locations.
  • Monitor and track the movement of goods and vehicles, ensuring compliance with transport regulations and standards.
  • Liaise with drivers and other staff to ensure smooth transport operations and provide support across the business as required.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate transport records and reports, including customer records and order tracking.
  • Provide administrative support to the Operations team, including preparing reports and answering customer inquiries.
  • Ensure that all vehicles are in good working order and properly maintained, and resolve any freight issues that may arise.
  • Act as an intermediary between customers and drivers, and push for back loads on jobs where appropriate.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in transport or logistics would be ideal.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and business acumen, with strong analytical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to motivate others and work as part of a team.
  • Good leadership skills, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent time management abilities, with the ability to negotiate and make decisions in a timely manner.
