As a Strategic Finance Partner focusing on Central Services and Overheads, you will play a crucial role as a strategic collaborator, engaging closely with various departments (IT, Procurement, Fleet, etc.) to enhance financial performance and facilitate informed decision-making. Your position is essential in delivering financial insights, forecasting, and cost management expertise to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of central functions within the organisation. Key Responsibilities Financial Planning and Strategic Analysis:
• Partner with the CTO and other department leaders to formulate and execute financial strategies for central services, ensuring alignment with overarching business objectives.
• Perform thorough financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and contribute to the attainment of organisational goals. Budget & Forecast Leadership:
• Oversee the budgeting and forecasting process for IT and other central services, collaborating with department heads to establish realistic financial targets that align with the organisation's strategic priorities.
• Actively analyse budget and forecast discrepancies, offering actionable insights and recommendations to improve financial performance. Cost Optimisation:
• Lead cost optimisation initiatives within IT and central services through collaboration with the CTO and departmental leaders.
• Conduct detailed cost-benefit analyses and provide strategic recommendations for resource allocation and efficiency enhancements. Financial Reporting and Stakeholder Communication:
• Prepare and deliver insightful financial reports for IT and central services, ensuring alignment with business goals and KPIs.
• Act as a trusted financial advisor, conveying complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders to enable informed decision-making. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with various departments (HR, IT, Facilities, etc.) to comprehend their financial needs and challenges.
• Actively engage in cross-functional teams, providing financial expertise to support and propel business initiatives. Policy Adherence and Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements within central services.
• Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and evaluate their implications on central service operations. Qualifications and Skills Professional Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is preferred. Experience: Demonstrated experience in financial business partnering, ideally with a focus on central services and overheads. Skills: Advanced analytical and strategic thinking capabilities. Strong financial modeling and forecasting skills. Strategic mindset with the ability to align financial strategies with business objectives. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Software Proficiency: Proficient in utilizing the Microsoft Office suite.
