About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Kent. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with special educational needs, including Autism, SEMH, ADHD, and behavioural needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with special educational needs in a therapeutic school setting
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to pupils to help them overcome challenges and achieve their goals
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation, and implement teaching strategies to meet the needs of pupils with special educational needs
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, and report to teachers and other support staff as needed
Requirements
  • GCSE Maths and English or NVQ Level 2
  • Experience supporting pupils with special educational needs
  • Adaptable and flexible approach to working with pupils with diverse needs
  • Experience working in an educational setting, preferably in a special school or with pupils with special educational needs
