- Support pupils' individual needs and develop strategies to enhance their academic performance.
- Develop and implement educational policies and programmes that align with the school's vision and values.
- Ensure the school's safeguarding procedures and policies are adhered to, prioritizing the well-being and safety of all students.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and evaluation of teaching staff, fostering a positive and supportive team environment.
- Monitor student progress and academic performance, implementing strategies to support student achievement and close the gap.
- Lead whole-staff and subject meetings, promoting collaboration and professional development among teaching staff.
- Other responsibilities include pastoral care, behaviour management, curriculum forward planning, timetable construction, data analysis, and assessment.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and the wider community, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and educational standards, maintaining the school's reputation and credibility.
- Recent/relevant experience working with children and young people, specifically those with SEND.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and a commitment to undertaking the NPQH.
- Degree Qualified in Education or a relevant subject, with a strong understanding of educational principles and practices.
- A passion for education, with at least 5 years of teaching experience and a proven track record of success.
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills, with the ability to analyze data and implement effective strategies.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others, promoting a positive and supportive team culture.
