Job Summary:
The Shared Finance Service is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Finance Business Partner to join our team. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will provide expert advice and guidance on the Council's Capital Programme and Commercial programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the development of the Council's Capital investment programmes
- Provide commercial finance support to a number of Council programmes
- Develop and interpret complex financial models
- Provide commercially focussed finance support to large programmes and projects
- Develop or interpret business cases and financial viability assessments
Essential Requirements:
- Completed a relevant professional qualification (e.g. CIPFA, CIMA, MBA etc)
- Experience of working within a business partnering model
- Experience of working alongside senior managers in a Senior Finance role
- Detailed knowledge and experience of Capital Programme development
- Detailed understanding of Local Authority Capital Accounting and associated guidance
