About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Worker to join our team at Priory Group. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, helping them to achieve their full potential and live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist residents with daily living tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and using the toilet, promoting their independence and dignity.
  • Support with Mobility and Physical Disabilities: Help residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including incontinence, and assist with the use and care of aids and personal equipment.
  • Care for Residents with Temporary Illness: Provide care and support to residents who are temporarily sick or injured, including help with feeding and other daily needs.
  • Promote Mental and Physical Activities: Encourage residents to participate in mental and physical activities, such as reading, writing, and hobbies, to promote their well-being and quality of life.
  • Housekeeping and Domestic Duties: Assist with making beds, tidying rooms, and performing light cleaning tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Mealtime Support: Assist with setting tables, serving meals, and feeding residents who require help, as well as preparing light snacks and washing up.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Participate in reporting and record-keeping activities, including writing reports and attending service user meetings and training sessions.
  • Compliance and Confidentiality: Ensure compliance with the unit's guidelines and policies at all times, maintaining confidentiality and respecting residents' rights and dignity.
Requirements
  • DBS Disclosure: All roles will be subject to a successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), Access NI, or Disclosure Scotland, with the cost covered by Priory Group.
  • Registration with Social Care Wales: As of October 2022, it will be mandatory for all care workers in Wales to register themselves with Social Care Wales. For more information, please visit the Social Care Wales website.
