Job Title: 3D CAD Designer

At Inspire Resourcing Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled 3D CAD Designer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality engineering drawings and designs using SolidWorks and 2D AutoCAD.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce accurate and detailed engineering drawings for customer approval and manufacture.
  • Support the creation of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and ensure their accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to develop new and existing products, including creating and checking drawings/specifications.
  • Implement and support the use of DriveWorks and PLM systems.
  • Assist design engineers in creating new product drawings as required.
  • Provide technical support and training to the team, including delivering technical information.
  • Contribute to the development of technical drawing and design resources for customers, including BIM models.
  • Improve design processes and administration, ensuring high-quality technical design resources in customer communications.
Requirements:
  • HNC (or above) in Engineering (or equivalent) or an apprenticeship in Engineering (or related discipline).
  • Masters Degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent.
  • Significant experience working in a design team, preferably in an SME.
  • Proficiency in CAD/DriveWorks/SolidWorks and ability to work methodically and accurately.
  • Effective communication skills, ability to balance conflicting deadlines and priorities, and IT skills, particularly with MS Packages.
Desirable Qualifications/Registration:
  • CSCS card.
  • IPAF.
  • Asbestos Awareness Training.
  • Health and Safety Awareness Training.
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, self-driven, positive, and confident.
  • Able to work collaboratively, hold a current UK Driving License, and flexibility around working hours.
  • Able to travel nationally and occasionally internationally and work at heights.
