The Role
The Australian Government Department of Defence is seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Officer to join our team in the School of Military Engineering (SME). As a key member of our high-performing team, you will play a critical role in linking finances to capability outcomes that are strategically aligned to Government priorities.

About the Role
The Business Intelligence Officer will be responsible for a range of finance, procurement, stakeholder engagement, and data analysis tasks. You will operate within a close-knit team, directly supporting SME's training functions. Your expertise will be essential in interpreting and providing advice within the business analysis function based on legislation, policy, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain a well-developed understanding of and compliance to relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making, and mission and policy requirements.
• Contribute to resource and financial planning and policy development for SME.
• Prepare financial reports and manage capability resources.
• Build and sustain effective relationships with team members and actively participate in team work and group activities.

The SME team is a small but motivated and experienced cohort, comprising APS and uniformed members. We value an adult workplace environment and a respectful open discourse between our members.
