We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Assistant to join our team at The Veterinary Defence Society. As a key member of our Finance Team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our Management Accountant and contributing to the smooth operation of our financial functions.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will be responsible for a range of tasks, including:

  • Purchase Ledger Processing: Accurately processing and reconciling purchase invoices and credit notes.
  • Sales Ledger Processing: Managing sales invoices, credit notes, and statements.
  • Payment Runs: Coordinating and processing payment runs, including allocating payments to the correct accounts.
  • Credit Control: Monitoring and managing customer accounts to ensure timely payment.
  • Claims Payment Processing: Processing and reconciling claims payments.
  • Statement Reconciliations: Preparing and reconciling financial statements.
  • Administrative Support: Providing general administrative support to the Finance Team, including filing, data entry, and other tasks as required.

  • Strong Organizational Skills: The ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
