We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Support Worker in Sunderland. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with care needs to live independent and fulfilling lives.
Our service in Sunderland covers two supported living houses in the Houghton-Le-Spring and Hendon areas, providing 24-hour support to our vibrant service users. We require warm, motivated, and person-centred individuals with a keen interest in providing personalised support to meet individual care plans.
Key Responsibilities- Support individuals with all aspects of daily living, including cooking and cleaning.
- Provide excellent, respectful personal care to service users and assist with the administration and monitoring of prescribed medication.
- Encourage individuals to engage in a wide range of exciting activities at home and out in the community.
- Work within a positive behaviour support framework to promote growth and confidence.
- Flexibly work according to the needs of the service, including sleep-in shifts.
We provide full and ongoing training, and the opportunity to work towards a QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care. Benefits include a probationary bonus, pension contributions, 28 days Annual Leave, and company-paid enhanced DBS.
