Job Role: Mechanical Engineer/Plumber

Location: The Mount

Salary: £36,595.10

Contract: Full time / Perm

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our team at HMP The Mount, a category C prison. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who vary from Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, and other trade professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality maintenance services to ensure the smooth and safe operation of the prison.
  • Work alongside experienced colleagues to maintain and repair mechanical equipment, including plumbing and HVAC systems.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of maintenance plans to ensure the efficient use of resources.
  • Collaborate with other teams to identify and resolve maintenance issues.

Requirements:

  • Experience in mechanical engineering, plumbing, or a related trade.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
