About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Supervisor to join our team at Government Facility Services Ltd, a leading provider of facilities management services to the Ministry of Justice.

The successful candidate will have a background in plumbing and supervisory roles, with experience working on commercial or industrial heating and water or building services systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of plumbers and other trades professionals to ensure the smooth operation of facilities maintenance services.
  • Ensure compliance with Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements.
  • Manage and maintain commercial or industrial heating and water or building services systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of facilities management strategies.
Requirements
  • Five years' experience as a plumber or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with and ability to work to Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements.
  • Experience working on commercial or industrial heating and water or building services systems.
  • Experience of supervising staff.
  • Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating) and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent.
  • Up to date First Aid at Work Qualification.
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge.
  • Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.
