Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Assistant to join our team as a Public Enquiry Officer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling enquiries and complaints, and maintaining the security, safety, and tidiness of our station reception office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent Kent Police as the first point of contact for members of the public.
  • Operate Police computer systems according to Service guidelines.
  • Receive and administer property.
  • Ensure the security, safety, and tidiness of the station reception office.
  • Work a 30-hour week on a 7-day shift rota with the possibility of further hours when available.
  • Report to the Public Enquiry Officer Team Leader.

Essential Qualifications/Skills:

  • A good standard of education to GCSE A-C level (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics or experience to this standard.
  • Diligent customer service attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Good IT skills (Training will be provided on Police systems).
  • Subject to vetting by Kent Police.
