Gynaecology Team Lead

The Gynaecology Admin Team Leader is the primary point of contact for all administrative inquiries within the Department. This role is responsible for supporting, leading, and developing a large administrative team, as well as managing non-cancer patient pathways.
Main Responsibilities- Support the Senior Speciality Manager in providing leadership and line management to the Department's administrative team, including providing development opportunities and regular 1-1s.
- Be the main point of contact for the secretarial, administrative, and clerical services supporting patient activity in the Department.
- Monitor benign (non-cancer) patient pathways in accordance with Government Access Targets, Elective Recovery Targets, and the Trust's Patient Access Policy.
- Provide support in the operational activity across the speciality on meeting patient access targets.
- Manage the Departmental rotas, including Admin, Theatres, Consultant, and Acting as the administrative lead and point of contact for low-level PALS.
- Investigate all administrative aspects of formal complaints to be fed back to the Speciality Triumvirate.

Requirements- GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent).
- Educated to A-Level (or equivalent) or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience of line managing and supporting a large team.
- Experience within the NHS or similar healthcare setting.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office.
- Highly effective organisational skills.
