About the Role

We are seeking experienced Systems Engineers to join our team at Leonardo, a leading technology company. As a Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to early concept studies investigating the application of new technology on future platforms
  • Engage with stakeholders to define requirements for new systems
  • Design and integrate new functionality into existing subsystems in Simulink
  • Collaborate with other engineers to design and prototype detailed models of systems to understand observed simulated performance
  • Design and prototype algorithms in Matlab, taking into account limitations and constraints of target hardware
  • Investigate the cause of anomalies observed during integration or evaluation activities, using real trials data

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience as a Systems Engineer within a working environment or advanced academic research experience
  • Applied engineering experience that we can build upon through training, team working, and mentoring
  • Experience in areas such as Systems Generalists, Problem Definition, Systems Architecture, Synthetic Environments, Performance Modelling, Verification and Validation, and System Of Systems
  • Domain specialisms in areas such as Digital Signal Processing, RF Systems, Electro-Optic Systems, Medical Imaging Systems, Image Processing, Computer Vision, Multi-Sensor Data Fusion, and Real-Time Data Simulation
