Responsibilities include the clinical coding of intricate acute specialties, requiring the extraction of clinical data from patient records and translating it into diagnostic (ICD10) and procedural (OPCS) coding classifications.

Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities
This position necessitates an organized approach to managing workloads in a fast-paced environment, where accuracy and attention to detail are critical.

- A-level education including Mathematics and English or equivalent experience
- Accredited Clinical Coding Qualification

- Advanced specialist coding knowledge supported by theory and practical experience
- Participation in refresher and specialty workshops
- Capability to code across various specialty areas
- Experience working both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative as required
- Familiarity with PAS/hospital systems
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience coding complex cases, including Neurosurgery and Renal cases
