About the Position: In the role of Autism Educational Support Specialist, you will play a crucial part in assisting students with autism, enabling them to navigate challenges and reach their full potential. You will collaborate closely with educators, families, and school personnel to foster a supportive and inclusive educational atmosphere.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Delivering individualized and group assistance to students with autism
  • Helping implement tailored education plans (TEPs)
  • Facilitating students' academic, social, and emotional growth
  • Contributing to the management of classroom behavior and promoting a positive learning environment
  • Working alongside teachers and the Special Educational Needs (SEN) team to devise effective strategies
  • Tracking and documenting students' progress and providing constructive feedback

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children or adolescents, ideally in an educational or caregiving context
  • Knowledge of autism and effective support strategies for individuals with autism
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

All quoted pay rates will include statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role in the future.
