About the Role

Vertex IT Solutions Ltd is seeking a talented Business Systems Analyst to join our fast-paced development team. As a key member of our Technology team, you will be responsible for leading or assisting requirements elicitation for major enterprise projects and leading smaller projects through to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver Business Solutions: Collaborate with our clients and Project Managers to plan and define requirements for new product features.
  2. Develop Technical Requirements: Create technical requirements documents and use cases for new product features.
  3. Own the Product Backlog: Facilitate discussions, user story grooming, and liaise with stakeholders to define platform data requirements.
  4. Monitor Project Status: Track the status of development projects supporting new features and conduct business-level verification of new features.
  5. Provide Stakeholder Updates: Offer regular updates and manage stakeholder communication and reporting.
Requirements
  1. Commercial Experience: Five years of commercial experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Product Owner.
  2. Software Product Management: Experience managing a successful software product or online system throughout its lifecycle.
  3. Technical Background: Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
  4. Project Management: Proficient in Microsoft Office product suite and able to handle and prioritize multiple projects.
  5. Agile Software Development: Good knowledge of agile software development processes, including Jira and project management.
  6. Implementation Skills: Requirement and process analysis, research, recommendation, building, testing, documentation, and support.
  7. Technical Aptitude: Ability to learn and master new technologies and software.
  8. Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, excellent verbal/written communication skills, and ability to build good rapport and drive collaboration across teams.
  9. Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and a can-do persistent attitude.
