Business Systems Analyst Job Description

Vertex IT Solutions Ltd is seeking a skilled Business Systems Analyst to join their fast-paced development team. As a Business Systems Analyst, you will play a crucial role in leading or assisting requirements elicitation for major enterprise projects and leading smaller projects through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver high-quality products to the market by working closely with cross-functional teams.
  2. Develop technical requirements documents and use cases for new product features, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  3. Collaborate with clients and Project Managers to plan and define project requirements.
  4. Own the product backlog, facilitate discussions, and user story grooming to ensure effective project delivery.
  5. Liaise with stakeholders, including Product Managers, Data Analysts, and CTO, to define platform data requirements.
  6. Monitor project progress, providing regular updates and managing stakeholder communication and reporting.
Requirements:
  1. Five years of commercial experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Product Owner.
  2. Proven track record of managing successful software products or online systems throughout their life-cycle.
  3. Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Office product suite.
  5. Able to handle and prioritize multiple projects, with strong planning and organizational skills.
  6. Good knowledge of agile software development processes, including Jira and project management.
  7. Experience with general project management, including problem facilitation, business case development, process mapping, and process redesign.
  8. Implementation skillset: requirement and process analysis, research, recommendation, building, testing, documentation, and support.
  9. Ability to learn and master new technologies and software with high technical aptitude.
  10. Strong interpersonal skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  11. Excellent attention to detail and a can-do persistent attitude.
