We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at The Cambian Group. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing a range of psychological interventions for children and young people with mental health problems, including those who have experienced trauma and other adverse childhood experiences.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Provide psychological assessments, formulations, and recommendations for psychological support
- Develop and deliver care plans involving psychological treatment and management of cases
- Supervise and train support staff to provide psychologically informed practices across the home
- Implement evidence-based psychological interventions, making evaluations and decisions about treatment options, and monitoring outcomes
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to service development initiatives
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of expertise and experience in working with children and young people with complex mental health needs. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes Psychiatry, OT, Nursing, and Teachers, and will have access to a Consultant Psychologist working in our sister site in Newmarket.
Person Specification- Postgraduate doctoral qualification in clinical or counselling psychology (or equivalent)
- HCPC registration
- Experience/knowledge of child and adult safeguarding legislation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritise workload
- Strong literacy and report writing skills
